  4. Dear Chookie, It's quite easy to ruin boeuf bourgignon if one's husband, who was cooking it, got distracted by a DVD and totally forgot it was on the stove. Your unwarranted sense of superiority does you no credit.

  5. My apologies: the proper spelling for the dish my husband has managed to ruin (twice, mind you) is boeuf bourguignon.

  6. We've had about a dozen tomato "people" this season! My boy refers to them as "nosy tomatoes"...the tomato plant is one which volunteered in the garden, so I have assumed the "noses" are the result of some commercial variety tomato not growing true to type! They're very yummy, despite the odd appearance! :)

  7. Aesthete, was it The Wire? Take them away from him and issue him with Roger Ramjet instead -- an episode is less likely to ruin your food. If he can stop at one.

Kara, I am jealous. No tomato noses here, just catface on the Brandywines.

Decorno's blog is great. So is Decorno.
